Elbow Arcade Privacy Policy

Effective date: 12/09/2026   •   Last updated: 12/09/2026

Privacy at a glance: Elbow Arcade does not operate a server that collects your personal data. Motion data used to control gameplay is processed on your device and is not uploaded to us. Apple Health integration is optional and is controlled by Apple’s HealthKit permissions.

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how Elbow Arcade handles information when you use the Elbow Arcade app for iPhone and iPad.

Data controller: 2026 Elbow Arcade
Contact email: documentsexpiryreminder@gmail.com

For GDPR purposes, the controller is the entity identified above, unless applicable law provides otherwise.

2. Information we do not collect

Elbow Arcade is designed with a local-first architecture. We do not operate a backend for the app and do not collect or transmit to our servers:

We do not sell personal information, use health information for advertising, or use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs in the initial version.

3. Motion data and gameplay

Elbow Arcade uses Apple Core Motion to translate device movement into game controls. This may temporarily process information such as device attitude, rotation, acceleration, movement speed, and related motion signals.

This motion information is processed on your iPhone or iPad for gameplay and calibration. Raw motion samples are not uploaded to our servers and are not stored as a sensor stream by Elbow Arcade.

Because the app processes motion data on your device but does not transmit it to us, we do not receive a copy of these motion signals.

4. Local session history

The app may store summarized session information locally on your device, such as the date of a session, the game played, duration, movement-control scores, and optional comfort responses you choose to enter.

This information is stored locally to provide features such as session history and progress. It is not uploaded to us.

You can delete local session history using the deletion controls provided in the app.

5. Apple Health / HealthKit

Apple Health integration is optional. Elbow Arcade does not require HealthKit to play.

If you explicitly enable the Apple Health feature and grant permission, Elbow Arcade may write a completed session as a workout to Apple Health. We request only the HealthKit permissions needed for the released feature.

In the initial version, Elbow Arcade does not read your heart rate, sleep, medications, clinical records, or other HealthKit data for gameplay.

Raw motion data and comfort responses are not written to Apple Health.

Health data stored in Apple Health is managed by Apple and protected by Apple’s HealthKit security and permission system. You can review or change an app’s Health permissions in Apple’s system settings and the Health app.

We do not sell HealthKit information, use it for advertising or tracking, or use it to build marketing profiles.

6. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or disclose personal data to advertisers, data brokers, or analytics companies.

Because Elbow Arcade has no backend in the initial version, the app does not routinely transmit app usage data to us or to third-party service providers.

Apple may process information under Apple’s own terms and policies when you use Apple platform services such as HealthKit, App Store services, or system infrastructure.

7. Legal basis under the GDPR

Where the GDPR applies, we aim to process personal data only where a lawful basis exists. For the local-only functionality of Elbow Arcade, processing is limited to providing the features you request on your device.

Where you choose to enable an optional privacy-sensitive feature such as HealthKit integration, the relevant Apple authorization flow is used to obtain the permissions required by the feature.

This policy is intended to describe our current processing practices clearly; it does not constitute legal advice or a guarantee of compliance in every jurisdiction.

8. Your GDPR rights

Where the GDPR applies, you may have rights including the right to:

Because Elbow Arcade is designed not to transmit raw motion data or maintain an online user account, we may not have identifying information that allows us to locate a particular person’s local-only data. In such cases, we cannot access or delete information that we do not possess.

To exercise a right or ask a privacy question, contact us at documentsexpiryreminder@gmail.com .

9. Data retention

We do not maintain a server-side database of Elbow Arcade users in the initial version.

Summarized session history remains on your device until you delete it, remove the app, or the app otherwise removes it according to its data-retention settings.

HealthKit records are stored in Apple Health according to Apple’s systems and your choices. Elbow Arcade does not control Apple’s Health data retention policies.

10. Security

Elbow Arcade is designed to minimize data exposure by processing motion data on-device and avoiding a server-side collection system. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the limited information handled by the app.

No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

11. Children

Elbow Arcade is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children. The app does not require an account or collect personal information on a server in the initial version.

12. International use

Elbow Arcade may be used internationally. Where the GDPR or another privacy law applies, we will handle information according to applicable legal requirements and the practices described in this policy.

13. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the app, our practices, or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will indicate when changes were made.
